Ex-Bafana Bafana defender Bongani Khumalo heaped praises on Mamelodi Sundowns starlet Thato Sibiya following the Brazilian’s 2-0 win over Orbit College in the Betway Premiership on Monday night.
Sibiya, 19, grabbed the Man of the Match award for his showing at left-back, with Khumalo comparing him to the likes of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Tsepo Masilela and Manchester United legend Patrice Evra.
“He looks like a proper player,” Khumalo said on SuperSport TV, as per The South African.
“He reminds me of a Tsepo Masilela and Patrice Evra type of fullback. His body and structure.
“The style of play. He has that Masilela vibe. The way he moves.
“He is very strong on the ball. Technique and so much strength on the ball. He is a player.”
