Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, AmaZulu FC forward Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Brayan Leon have won the Betway Premiership’s monthly awards for August 2026.
Ouaddou, the reigning Coach of the Season, oversaw a strong start to the campaign, with the Buccaneers beginning the defence of their league title in impressive style and earning the Moroccan the Coach of the Month award.
Pirates spent most of August at the top of the log after recording three wins over Milford FC, Chippa United and Sekhukhune United, as well as a draw against AmaZulu FC.
And Usuthu’s Ngwenya, who scored five goals in four matches during August, was the winner of the Player of the Month award, while Leon earned the Goal of the Month gong for a memorable volleyed strike against AmaZulu in a 5-2 win for the Brazilians on 26 August.
The Betway Premiership continues this week, starting with Sundowns hosting Siwelele FC on Wednesday evening, before seven further matches played on the weekend of 11-13 September.
