Kaizer Chiefs’ injury crisis has deepened even further following news that defender Thabiso Monyane will be sidelined for four weeks.
The Amakhosi, who have recorded two wins and two draws from their four Betway Premiership matches thus far in the 2026/27 season, already have a long list of unavailable players, including Langelihle Phili, Ethan Chislett, Flavio Silva, Paseka Mako and Khanyisa Mayo, amongst others.
Now Monyane has joined the injured group after he suffered a knock in training earlier this week.
Coach Fernando Da Cruz will look to Dillan Solomons, Reeve Frosler or possibly Zitha Kwinika to fill the right-back slot – a position which Monyane had locked down after starting all of Chiefs’ matches this term.
Chiefs will next be in action on Sunday 6 September when they welcome Siwelele FC to the Dobsonville Stadium.
