Sinesipho Mali has spoken fondly over his recent move to AmaZulu, where he will serve as the club’s new Head of Football strategy.
AmaZulu have unveiled Sinesipho Mali has their new Head of Football Stratergy, as the South African football figure spoke glowingly of his commitment in helping Usuthu reach new heights.
As a well-known character in South African football, Mali joins AmaZulu following stints with the Bafana Bafana national team, Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs and Mthatha Bucks.
Mali thus believes that the club has grown during the last couple of years as the continuously placed themselves among the mix of teams gunning for a CAF Champions League spot. Recalling AmaZulu as the club who presented him his first professional interview, Mali now believes that the stars are aligning as he embarks on a new chapter in his career.
“My history with this great football club goes back many years,” Mali said, according to the club’s official website.
“AmaZulu was the first club to ever give me a professional interview, when Coach Steve Barker was in charge.
“I also had the opportunity to work with the youth team during the 2015 Engen Champ of Champs tournament as the opposition analyst. Although we narrowly missed out on the final, those experiences have always stayed with me.
“I can genuinely say this is a move that has long been written in the stars. There have been opportunities over the years, but I’m grateful that the timing is finally right.”
