Allan Freese has urged his side to continue fighting in their bid to avoid relegation from the Betway Premiership this season.
Magesi recorded some of their most important points in the Betway Premiership this week after noting a 3-0 win over Marumo Gallants at the Seshego Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite Gallants dominance on the ball throughout the 90 minutes, Magesi were led by goals from Godfrey Mashigo, Motsie Matima and Thabang Sibanyoni, as the club recorded their third win of the campaign.
The result saw Magesi move onto 17 points in 16th position, as they trail the safe zone by just one point with eight games to go.
“I’m very happy about the performance of the boys. We played according to the way we wanted to play, and I’m happy about that,” Freese said after the match.
“Like we created far more chances, which we could have still scored other goals, but three goals and playing well, I’m happy about that.
“Very much [pleased to have narrowed the gap] and that was our aim,” added the coach.
“We are playing at home, get the three points and then let’s look forward to the next game. Now what we do is go back, we prepare for the next game.”
