Mamelodi Sundowns’ Miguel Reisinho has opened his account, bagging his first goal for the club in Sundowns’ 2-0 win over Orbit College at the Olympia Park Stadium on Tuesday.
The Portuguese midfielder bagged the opening goal of the game in the 48th minute, just after the stroke of halftime.
Arthur Sales whipped a cross into fellow Portuguese player Nuno Santos at the back post. Santos squared his header to Reisinho who made no mistake from close range.
The in-form Iqraam Rayners added the visitors’ second of the evening from the penalty spot in the 60th minute.
The 26-year-old Reisinho has now scored one goal in four appearances in the Betway Premiership, and has managed one assist in three games in the CAF Champions League.
His contribution helped the Brazilians go three points ahead of Orlando Pirates on the log before the Buccaneers’ home fixture against Richards Bay on Wednesday.
He will be hoping to contribute once more on Friday as Sundowns host Stade Malien in the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinal clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
