After a gruelling PSL Promotion/Relegation play-off tournament, Magesi will now ply their trade in South Africa’s first division. In an emotional statement this week, the club thanked their adoring fans for their support amid a testing 2025/26 campaign.
In a game where Magesi needed maximum points to ensure safety in the Betway Premiership, a 1-1 draw with Milford at the Seshego Stadium last Saturday saw the club finish two points behind Milford on the mini-league table.
As Milford gained promotion and Magesi relegated, the Limpopo side recently took to their X account in a releasing a statement detailing their thoughts on what was a disappointing season.
“To Our Dikwena Family, Saturday broke our hearts. And it hurts because it mattered most,” Magesi said on X.
“This season was challenging. We faced setbacks, fought hard, and fell short of what we all wanted. Through every high and low, you stayed with us.
“Thank you for being with Magesi FC all season long. For the chants when our legs were heavy. For the belief when belief was hard. For wearing the Blue no matter what. You carried this club.
“Relegation hurts. But it doesn’t change who we are. Dikwena Tša Meetse . It’s this community. It’s you.
“This is a setback, not the end. We will rebuild and fight our way back. Because you deserve it. Because it matters most.
“From the players, coaches,and everyone at the club: Thank you for your love,patience and loyalty.
