Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star Relebohile Mofokeng recently bagged the club’s Player of the Month award for May as he heads into the 2026 FIFA World Cup with confidence in his stride.
Mofokeng was Pirates’ leading chance creator last month, as he got the nod of approval from fans on a voting poll.
The popular player managed to score 10 goals in 27 league games last season, while recording eight assists along the way. In addition to his personal success, Mofokeng has now won the Bucs Player of the Month award for the fourth time after bagging the accolade in December, February and March.
“Relebohile Mofokeng has capped a dream campaign by scooping the Orlando Pirates Player of the Month award for May, as voted for by the fans,” Pirates confirmed on their official website.
“The 21-year-old was instrumental in a highly-successful season for the Buccaneers, helping them to two domestic cup titles while also key in delivering the Betway Premiership title.
“He maintained his consistency through to the final stretch of the league campaign, leading the charts in terms of chances created in Bucs colours in May.”
