Kaizer Chiefs marketing director Jessica Motaung has indicated that the club’s new head coach will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Glamour Boys parted ways with co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze at the end of the 2025-26 season despite the duo securing CAF Confederation Cup football via a third-placed finish in the Betway Premiership.
Former Chiefs assistant coach Fernando Da Cruz is tipped to fill the vacancy in the dugout, while Sven Vandenbroek and Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi have also been linked with the Soweto giants.
Amakhosi supporters are anticipating an announcement soon, but Motaung intimated that the process is still ongoing and the identity of the new man at the helm will be revealed in due course.
Speaking at the launch of the Toyota Cup, which will see Chiefs take on Zimbabwe Premier League champions Scottland on July 26, Motaung said: “Certainly the season has ended and we are taking time out to now announce things like the Toyota Cup in preparation for pre-season.
“Supporters and everybody alike can look forward to announcements in due course regarding the new technical team, player movements and things like that.
“The Toyota Cup is a showpiece for us to showcase the new technical team, the new players and our new kit.”
