Mamelodi Sundowns’ final three fixtures in the Betway Premiership have been confirmed, as the club chases a ninth successive title.
The Brazilians enjoy a five-point lead over nearest chasers Orlando Pirates at the top of the log and know that a win in each of their three remaining league matches will continue their dominance of South Africa’s top flight league.
Sundowns will next be in action on Wednesday 6 May when they welcome fellow heavyweights Kaizer Chiefs to Loftus Versfeld for an eagerly-anticipated clash.
Three days later, on Saturday 9 May, Siwelele FC will travel to Tshwane for a clash against Miguel Cardoso’s side.
And ‘Downs will then complete their league schedule on Tuesday 12 May with a trip to the Mbombela Stadium, taking on TS Galaxy.
The three matches in the space of six days will see Sundowns complete their league schedule before any other team in the PSL.
This is because their two matches against Morocco’s AS FAR in the CAF Champions League final will be played on the same weekends that the final two Premiership matchdays are scheduled for, 16 and 23 May.
Miguel Cardoso and his charges will hope to lift the PSL title at Mbombela Stadium next Tuesday evening, and then turn their attention to winning a second Champions League title.
