Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef reserved special praise for Khanyiso Mayo after the Glamour Boys extended their impressive run of form in the league this week.
The Soweto giants made it five victories on the spin after their win over Magesi, with Mayo under the spotlight following his performance at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Youssef expressed that apart from Mayo’s game, he believes squad depth will carry his team toward the finish line this season.
“I think the first thing is Mayo, we’re so happy with the performance of Mayo and that he scored,” Youssef said in his post-match interview.
“Certainly, he [Frosler] is back and made two assists so he is showed the importance for all the players in the squad.
“We have a big squad, big team and all of them they are ready to give us what we asked from them and all of them they’re ready to fight for the team, but the most important thing we’re not performing on one or two players, we’re a big squad and all of them can help.”
