Professor’s plea

Fondly known as ‘Professor’ in South African football circles, Durban Bush Bucks legend Mlungisi Ngubane recently claimed that Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze are battling to get a tune out of their players.

Professor used Mfundo Vilakazi as a reference point to his argument, citing that the current Chiefs mentors lack ‘trust’ in youth at Naturena.

“The physical stature of a player should not be a concern,” Ngubane said, as per Kick-off.

“Vilakazi matches the size of renowned players such as Lionel Messi.

“However, Kaze and Youssef seem to lack trust in these young talents.”

The report further explained that the South African football legend thus urged Chiefs to put faith in Vela Khumalo and Dillon Sheppard to guide the younger players at the club, given their knowledge of Amakhosi’s youth structures.
