Magesi cashless

Veteran PSL coach Allan Freese has revealed that he departed Magesi FC because the relegated club will struggle with a lack of funds in the second tier.

Freese and Magesi parted ways recently after the club was relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship via the Promotion-Relegation Playoffs.

“I must look for another job. The chairman told me he couldn’t pay me, so I felt, yes, no, it’s alright then,” Freese is quoted by KickOff.

“He said he couldn’t keep me because there is not enough money in the National First Division. Then I just said, ‘Okay, thank you very much for having me.’

“We just parted ways amicably; there were no issues. I simply accepted it. If he says there is no money, it means there is no money.

“So, it’s okay, now I must go look for a job. There are many wishes… I could have done a lot of things [if I had arrived earlier].”

Magesi finished 15th on the Betway Premiership log, necessitating their entry into the playoffs, where they were beaten to top spot by Milford FC.
