Kaizer Chiefs believe that Wandile Duba has a bright future at Naturena after agreeing a new contract with their academy graduate.
The 21-year-old striker only made 18 appearances for the Glamour Boys in the Betway Premiership this past season as new signing Flavio Silva enjoyed an impressive debut.
Duba started the first four games of the campaign under Nasreddine Nabi, but found himself in and out of the squad until March when he was given a solid run in the starting XI.
The youngster opened his account for 2025-26 in the 2-0 win over Magesi on March 21 and went on to score three goals in four matches as Amakhosi solidified their position in the top three.
Duba missed the final four fixtures of the season against Mamelodi Sundowns, Sekhukhune United, AmaZulu and Chippa United as co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze favoured Glody Lilepo and Pule Mmodi in attack alongside Silva.
But Chiefs view him as one of the brightest prospects at the club and have moved to secure his long-term future as his current deal was set to expire at the end of June.
Duba was promoted to the first team in January 2023 and he has gone on to rack up 60 appearances across all competitions for the Soweto giants, scoring nine goals in the process.
