The Carling All-Stars team to face Carling Knockout winners Orlando Pirates at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday has been revealed.
The team, which was selected through fan-voting, was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Lamontville Golden Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi will manage the team, taking the reins from former Orlando Pirates boss Jose Riveiro who oversaw the All-Stars team for the past two seasons.
Mngqithi received 20 259 votes to earn his spot as coach of the Carling All-Stars and will be joined on the sidelines by Champion Coach Bonginkosi Chonco.
The starting 11 features big names from big clubs, with four Mamelodi Sundowns players, four Kaizer Chiefs players and one player from Sekhukhune United, Siwelele and Marumo Gallants respectively.
Chiefs’ representatives in the starting line-up are Brandon Petersen, Mfundo Vilakazi from the first team and Naledi Hlongwane and Thulani Mabaso for the club’s DStv Diski Challenge side.
Sundowns’ Marcello Allende and Arthur Sales got the nod and are joined by Vincent Sithole and Thabo Nkabinde from the DDC team.
Philip Ndlondlo, Keabetswe Khonyane and Sikhosonke Nkonyane fill the remaining spots.

The Buccaneers will look to end the All-Stars run of two consecutive wins, with the invitational side having defeated the last two champions (Magesi and Stellenbosch).
