Kaizer Chiefs co-head coach Khalil Ben Youssef highlighted the team’s ‘big problem’ after his side stalemate with Chippa United on Wednesday night.
Amakhosi missed the opportunity to possibly climb up to the third spot or second place in the Betway Premiership standings when they drew 0-0 with the Chilli Boys at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Therefore, Amakhosi find themselves placed fifth in the standings and Ben Youssef was left to rue his side’s poor finishing following a match which they dominated.
“First I have to say congratulations to Chippa for the game they play, they played with a good structure, there was fight in every challenge,” Ben Youssef said.
“For us, I think we don’t have any excuse. When you got a lot of opportunities, even from 6m one vs one and you don’t score, that’s football. We have to continue to work, we have to correct the same problem.
“Now we are every time in the final third and we don’t score. That’s the big problem that we have and we have to continue to work.”
Chiefs will end the year 2025 in third place or second spot if they secure a win over TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Sunday.
