{"id":1914,"date":"2026-08-09T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-09T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/?p=1914"},"modified":"2026-08-09T10:09:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-09T08:09:39","slug":"majoros-optimism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/index.php\/2026\/08\/09\/majoros-optimism\/","title":{"rendered":"Majoro\u2019s optimism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Lehlohonolo Majoro believes that both Soweto giants will finish in the top three of the Betway Premiership this season as he backed the Buccenears to go all the way.<\/p>\n<p>Majoro, fondly known as \u2018Major\u2019 to his peers, Majoro reserved special praises for clubs such as AmaZulu and Sekhukhune United before outing Pirates out as the most notable contender.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having seen Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs finish first, second, and third respectively, it&#8217;s really encouraging for us as football fanatics because it&#8217;s been a long time since we&#8217;ve seen a table look like that,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/iol.co.za\/sport\/soccer\/psl\/2026-08-06-exclusive-orlando-pirates-can-defend-title-in-fiercer-league-says-lehlohonolo-majoro\/\" target=\"_blank\">Majoro told IOL<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Not undermining other teams\u2014we&#8217;ve seen AmaZulu under Coach Arthur putting their hands up to showcase that they&#8217;re not just here to add numbers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sekhukhune is among those, Polokwane has always been a surprise package, and for the first time, we saw Stellenbosch finish outside the top eight. I&#8217;m sure they will want to fight their way back into the top eight and return to winning ways.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s going to be very tricky and very interesting. There&#8217;s no such thing as &#8216;small teams&#8217; anymore. I believe each and every team that is prepared and willing to go the extra mile to get three points will get them.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have no doubt that the Big Three will battle it out until the end.
