{"id":1811,"date":"2026-07-12T11:48:11","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T09:48:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/?p=1811"},"modified":"2026-07-12T11:48:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T09:48:13","slug":"mngqithis-bold-gamble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/index.php\/2026\/07\/12\/mngqithis-bold-gamble\/","title":{"rendered":"Mngqithi\u2019s Bold Gamble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Newly appointed Young Africans coach Manqoba Mngqithi has cited the club\u2019s strong ambition and the chance to compete again in the CAF Champions League as the main reasons for joining the Tanzanian giants.<\/p>\n<p>The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Golden Arrows tactician was officially unveiled as the new head coach on Friday, succeeding interim boss Abdihamid Moallin, who delivered another Tanzanian Premier League title.<\/p>\n<p>Mngqithi faces immediate pressure to deliver continental success with the ambitious Dar es Salaam side who are hoping to go all the way and clinch their first-ever Champions League title.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always exciting. I just wanted to be back in the Champions League space and see what can happen,\u201d the 55-year-old South African tactician said on SABC Sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m at a club that is willing to bring in players to make sure that we achieve our objectives.
