{"id":1193,"date":"2026-01-18T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-18T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/?p=1193"},"modified":"2026-01-28T11:19:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:19:51","slug":"baloyi-baffled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goalmzansi.com\/index.php\/2026\/01\/18\/baloyi-baffled\/","title":{"rendered":"Baloyi baffled"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Brian Baloyi recently expressed his concerns over PSL clubs not prioritizing development in the shot-stopper department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The popular figure is of the thought that clubs prefer to find ready-made players and not honing the skills of raw talents found within the South African pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have a South African problem at the moment,\u201d Baloyi said at a Hollywoodbets event, as per <a href=\"https:\/\/iol.co.za\/sport\/soccer\/psl\/2026-01-15-brian-baloyi-blasts-psl-clubs-for-geglecting-local-goalkeeper-talent\/\">IOL<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you look at the PSL, close to 60 per cent of the clubs are playing foreign goalkeepers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s a problem that cannot be addressed by the PSL or the clubs alone, because both are businesses at the end of the day.
