TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic insists there is enough quality in his squad to cope with the recent departures of Puso Dithejane and Khulumani Ndamane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Winger Dithejane was sold to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire on Tuesday, just 24 hours after Mamelodi Sundowns had confirmed the signing of centre-back Ndamane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It continued the trend of the Rockets selling their best players, with Thato Khiba, Samukelo Kabini and Kamogelo Sebelebele having joined Stellenbosch, Molde and Orlando Pirates respectively in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are fears that Galaxy’s business model could lead to their demise in the Betway Premiership, but Beganovic revealed that the club always plan for such departures by having suitable replacements ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We’ve sold Khulumani to Sundowns and we also sold Puso to Chicago Fire, but we still have a good squad full of quality. It’s still our goal to finish in the top eight, and I think we can achieve that,” the Bosnian told Sowetan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“TS Galaxy was there before Khulumani and Puso and it’ll continue to be there without them. We’ve always shown that we can replace players, so I don’t think we will decline now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Our model is that before we sell, we prepare a player within the squad to take over. If you remember, Puso didn’t play in our last two to three games because of an injury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“So we already prepared [Junior] Zindonga to play at right-wing, and he played well such that he even went to AFCON with Zimbabwe. He can give us something that Puso doesn’t have… he’s a little bit faster upfront and he defends well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“At centre-back, remember there’s Igor [Salatiel], the Brazilian guy who we had already prepared in case we sold Khulumani. But, yes, we’d like to find a left-footed centre-back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We always have at least two quality players in each position, so if we sell, another player immediately steps up.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
